What’s on offer?
Held in a magnificent 90-metre ceilinged banqueting hall with Moroccan-style arches and countless Arabian chandeliers, brunchers can look forward to a massive array of food from the hotel’s different restaurants. Cuisines come from Mistral, Sicilia, Shanghai Chic, Moroc Bar and Chor Bazaar restaurants – so Moroccan, Italian and Asian food are all covered. Throw in a dessert room and other classic dishes such as eggs Benedict and a wide array of seafood, and there should be enough options to satisfy even the most particular palates. A family-friendly venue, entertainment involves a magician who circulates tables performing tricks and a small petting zoo for youngsters, with rabbits, snakes, parrots, lizards, face painting and a whole lot more.

The venue?
The venue’s size allows people to sit in intimate groups and enjoy the grand scenery along with a sense of space. With seating also available in the various restaurants, there are enough choices to accommodate a variety of different occasions. The sheer quantity of food on offer means it’s also somewhere to wander around with plates, looking for what to sample next.

What sort of crowd turn out?
Families, couples and parties from a variety of different age groups make up the numbers. While the atmosphere’s relaxed, it never gets too raucous and things proceed in an orderly way (no conga lines or dancing on tables here, we're afraid). The dress code is smart yet relaxed, with individuals very much left to decide for themselves how much effort to put into their outfits.

Room for improvement?
There’s very little in need of tweaking, but if we’re going to be picky, there’s better sushi out there, if that’s what you like.

Standout dish?
The eggs Benedict from a dedicated cooking station are perfectly executed.
