How long have you lived in Dubai? I’ve lived between Dubai and Abu Dhabi for two and a half years.
Where do you like to hang out in Dubai when you’re not at work? Anywhere in the Emirate with a vast selection of quality places to eat, drink and socialise, so usually Dubai Marina or Downtown. However, the Media One Hotel has really come into its own in terms of offerings in the last year or so.
What’s your top tip for visitors to Dubai? Make sure you spend a night in the desert for authenticity and something you may not have close to home!
What one thing would you like to do in Dubai that you haven’t done before? Sky dive and see Dubai from a bird’s eye view.
What career journey did you take before joining your restaurant? I’ve worked on numerous openings here in the UAE and then prior to that, high-end country house hotels in the UK.
Why should Time Out readers try your restaurant? Crab Tavern Dubai is a relaxed place for people to meet in a central location with a great range of drinks and cocktails, good food and great friendly service…It’s the best of the US right in the heart of Media City.
What’s the best thing about dining at your restaurant in 2015? Apart from the above mentioned, the view from Level 9 in the Media One Hotel is amazing. Also, as Crab Tavern Dubai is brand new we will be bringing lots of new promotions and dishes to Dubai that weren’t readily available in this area before.
What’s your dish recommendation at your restaurant? The Soft Shell Crab Burger.
