How long have you lived in Dubai? I have lived in the UAE for almost 25 years.
Where do you like to hang out in Dubai when you’re not at work? I enjoy working out and staying active during my time off. I spend a lot of time at the beach, and exploring the desert.
What’s your top tip for visitors to Dubai? Some of my favorite spots in Dubai are the souks! Namely gold souk, spice souk and the fish market. They are definitely a must-see. Desert safaris and sand dunes are also high on my list of interesting experiences in Dubai. Lastly, on the Beach opposite JBR, our Seven Sands Restaurant offers a unique cultural experience of traditional authentic Emirati food with its inspiring history wall illustrating the development of Dubai.
What one thing would you like to do in Dubai that you haven’t done before? I would love to go sky diving and witness the beauty of Dubai’s skyline from above.
What career journey did you take before joining your restaurant? My career has always centered on my love for food. My passion has taken me to various five-star hotels such as Jumeirah, Le Meridien, Forte Grand, Intercontinental, Emirates Palace and JW Marriott.

What’s the best thing about dining at your restaurant in 2015? I would have to say the service. Emiratis are known for their hospitality and I think that’s one thing we can pride ourselves on.
What’s your dish recommendation at your restaurant? Aishu lahem, an Emirati rice and meat medley that is light and tangy, flavoured with distinctive light spices, is one of my favorite dishes.
