Located on the ground floor of Emirates Towers, Mosaico is a spacious and attractive restaurant with a laidback feel. At the Scarlett’s brunch, you can feast on cuisine you’d find in diners and restaurants across the USA. There’s a salad station where you choose the ingredients for a chef to whip up a creation from scratch, while the Mexican section allows you to build your own tacos, quesedillas and fajitas. The starter station has all kinds of things from chicken wings to calamari and nachos to mozarella sticks. Also on offer are roast meats, and a burger and pizza stop. Desserts include home-made waffles and ice cream, as well as mini sweets. You’ll not go hungry here, but you might need a little sleep after indulging. There is a good selection of mixed beverages available as well as house grape. Families will enjoy it here; the food is suited for youngsters to get stuck in, and the relaxed atmosphere will suit the parents. A jazz band performs throughout the afternoon, playing at just the right level without being intrusive. You’ll also get a voucher for a post-brunch drink at The Agency just down the hall. From October. Dhs265 (soft drinks and mocktails) Dhs385 (house beverages and bubbly), Dhs99 (children aged four-12), free (children under six). Fri 1pm-5pm. Jumeirah Emirates Towers (04 319 8088).
