Time Out Dubai staff
Zuma has rightly been named as one of Dubai’s top restaurants since it opened. Former Time Out Dubai Best Restaurant winner and current holder of the Best Japanese gong, this is a venue that guarantees a good experience. It oozes class and promises a great experience from the moment you enter. There is an absolutely staggering selection of sushi, sashimi, oysters and other perfectly pretty little treats. Also available are noodles, rice pots and skewers with wagyu beef, veal belly, chicken and other meats. There’s more than you can manage, and that’s before you choose something from the main course menu. There’s also the famous miso black cod as well as Chilean seabass and Boston lobster. Once that’s out of the way, a fantastic dessert platter arrives. There are also live cooking stations serving up street food and desserts. From the soft drinks package you can choose from a wonderful selection of mocktails, and there is also a package with sparkling Italian grape, Japanese hops and grape. Everyone will feel welcome here. It’s a high-class venue, but it isn’t stuffy in the slightest. Families with kids of all ages can enjoy the experience and the food. Groups of adults can catch up, while couples are able to enjoy a bit of romance. There are plenty of staff and they are all paying attention to every table and never miss a beat. This is a flawless brunch. The service, ambience, ingredients, food and price point have not been bettered at any brunch we’ve been to this year. Dhs395 (soft drinks), Dhs525 (house beverages and sparkling grape), Dhs595 (bubbly). Fri noon-4pm. Gate Village 6, DIFC (04 425 5660).
