Brunch en Blanc at the Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel offers as the name suggests, a selection of white dishes and the package under the spotlight is the Grand Siècle Brunch offering a top brand of bubbly.
Expect seafood dishes – such as fresh lobster caught off the coast of Oman, Norwegian prawns, deliciously smoked salmon from the Severn and Wye Valley as well as fresh clams and mussels from New Zealand - and guests donning ivory for the weekly occasion, crafted by Head Chef Rosalind Parsk.
Starters include Tagliatelle made with smoked grilled prawns infused with rosemary and tomato ragout, and a chestnut and whipped cream Lobster Bisque. For mains – served with vegetables and potatoes - there’s the Aged Angus Chateaux Briand sharing platter which includes roast beef carved at the table or the freshly caught Fish of the Day. Dessert is Baked Alaska served with stewed and flambé plums.
But you don't have to be made of money to have brunch at Pierchic of course, there are a few other affordable options.
Five types of mixed drinks are available under the Select Beverage Package for Dhs595, and other choices are priced at Dhs450 with soft drinks and Dhs750 (including bubbles). Pretty reasonable considering the price of many other brunches in the city.
