How long have you lived in Dubai? 28 years.
Where do you like to hang out in Dubai when you’re not at work? I like driving around the town, taking in the sights, there’s no place in particular. I enjoy exploring the city as there is so much constantly happening in Dubai.
What’s your top tip for visitors to Dubai? Bring your sunglasses or else forget coming during the summer.
What one thing would you like to do in Dubai that you haven’t done before? Visit Ski Dubai, I’ve never had the chance to, or take the Metro.
What career journey did you take before joining your restaurant? I’ve always been a chef, I started as a kitchen comis and never stopped. It’s been a journey I have enjoyed and continue enjoying. Why should Time Out readers try your restaurant? It’s Hong Kong-style cuisine that brings Hong Kong flavours to Dubai and not to forget we have one of the best dim sums in town with more than 34 varieties to choose from, and the best aromatic Peking duck in Dubai.
What’s the best thing about dining at your restaurant in 2016? We have a Cantonese wagyu beef promotion and our legendary Hong Kong Steam Pot season; as well as that we have recently introduced ‘All you can Eat Dim Sum’ Brunch for Dhs168.
What’s your dish recommendation at your restaurant? Steamed Live Hammour with our home-made premium soya sauce.
Aside from where you work, where else do you like to dine in Dubai and why? Ravi and Karachi Darbar, there’s nothing like good mutton Peshawari. What is the best dish you’ve ever tasted in your life and who made it? Homemade food by my mother.
