More often associated with top DJs and late-night club events, Nasimi Beach is also a pretty chilled-out beach club by day. Capitalising on its vibe, setting and reputation as a music hot spot, its Saturday brunch seems to be a way to ease guests back into the working week.
The brunch is good value and is the perfect place to gather with friends while the weather is good. Lounging around in the sun and leisurely feasting on finger food really is the good life.
The choice of dishes isn't as comprehensive as the drinks stations, which take in hops, grape and a variety of mixed beverages, but the quality of food will keep everyone happy. Sushi and sashimi are the highlight – the fresh, cool flavours working perfectly in this setting. The barbecue station is also worth a visit to pick up vegetables, burgers and kebabs. There are fried bites and a burrito stand as well to get you through the afternoon.
A DJ, accompanied by an impressive violinist, performs from 2pm, and the music gradually cranks up, creating more of a party atmosphere towards the end of the day. By 5pm, those who perhaps aren’t as ready to give into the working week can carry on while the sun sets. Dhs395 (all inclusive). Sat 1pm-5pm. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah (04 426 262604 426 2626).
Most impressive dish The light and fresh sushi selection.
