As Time Out Dubai’s Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2017, our interest was piqued when we heard about a brand-new menu and fresh look at Catch Dubai.
The trendy fish restaurant, which arrived in the city in 2015 by way of New York, has a cool, urban vibe, with exposed brickwork and deep leather seats. As part of the revamp, the restaurant is now accessible from outside the Fairmont Dubai, and the bar area has moved to be more integrated into the dining area. What the old bar area is set to become is yet to be revealed, though it’s designed to make “the dining experience more cosy”, so says the team.
However, foodies that we are, we’re more interested in the menu, which has also had an overhaul. All our favourites are all still there (hello, DXB sushi rolls), but there are also some exciting new dishes too, including miso-marinated sea bass with shiitake mushrooms wrapped in mini lettuce cups, tempura-fried red snapper with peppers and mushrooms and the “BG Burger” topped with truffle and foie gras.
