And flavours include Cookies, Cookies, Cookies and Cream (that’s Oreo, chocolate chip, Fudgee-O and cookie dough, in case you’re wondering) or Bangin Brownie (chocolate soft serve, caramel, chocolate sauce, brownie and cookie crumb).
“Sweet Salvation constantly tests the boundaries of culinary right and wrong,” say the team behind it. “The goal is to combine conceptual thinking with high-quality ingredients and products, in an effort to make something that tastes and looks unlike anything you’ve ever seen and had before.”
And judging by some of the flavours, we can understand this.
There’s also Birthday Cake (vanilla soft serve, cream cheese icing, birthday cake, rainbow sprinkles); Sweet Sweet Salvation (vanilla soft serve, chocolate sauce, peanut butter caramel sauce and chocolate peanut crumble); Red Rapture (vanilla soft serve, red velvet cake, cream cheese icing, raspberry sauce and meringue) and the Dubai special – the Gold Digger. This one is made of saffron vanilla ice cream, toasted salted pistachios and cardamom caramel (coming in at Dhs35/40).
Of course you can get straight up soft serve in chocolate, vanilla, chocolate and vanilla twist, saffron and a dairy-free coconut variety.
If you’re after a shake or frappe, Sweet Salvation does these, too (we love the sound of the peanut butter pretzel and Nutella version) and there’s also interesting takes on hot chocolate – including a S’mores variety (with vanilla syrup, toasted marshmallows and Gramham cracker crumble) or Cake Batter (which is pretty much how it says – cake batter and cream cheese frosting).
Whatever sweet treats you’re after we’re pretty sure you’ll be satisfied here. Head on down to City Walk to find out.
From Dhs20. Open daily 10am-midnight. City Walk (04 349 9917).
