Following Japanese traditions, chef Masahiro Sugiyama offers a two hour Omakase experience, which means “I leave it to you”.
The concept means the dishes are selected there and then to create a tailor-made experience.
Depending on your palate and seasonal Japanese ingredients, the chef serves his own interpretation of renowned dishes using the finest selection of fish.
You will be welcomed in style by Japanese hostesses dressed in traditional kimonos in the Japanese reception area known as tokonoma – a dedicated space to receive guests in traditional house – which features iconic cultural references such as the Bonsai plant and the power stones.
Modern yet minimalistic interiors with polished furnishings create a sleek atmosphere and the unique setting is ideal for a romantic dinner for two or a special occasion with a small group of friends.
For larger gatherings, the restaurant offers an equally intimate but slightly bigger seating capacity with the private dining room which hosts up to 12 guests with a fantastic 360 degree view over the Arabic Gulf and Dubai’s glittering skyline.
We can’t wait to check it out. Open Tue-Sat, 12.30pm-3.30pm, 6.30pm-midnight (seating options at 6.30pm and 9.30pm). Bulgari Resort Dubai, Jumeira Bay Island, Jumeirah 2 (04 777 5555).
