Run by Bull&Roo – the folk behind Tom&Serg, Common Grounds and The Sum of Us – the revamped space has three areas. There’s a lively bar serving food, a garden terrace and a “Melbourne-inspired lifestyle eatery” (which, we’re guessing, means restaurant).
“Free from gimmicks, nothing forced, Brunswick is guaranteed to be a social dining haven for those who love food,” says the team.
There will be a seasonal menu, which frequently changes, to ensure diners are kept on their toes. There’s also a special new brick oven for pizzas.
A late breakfast will be served until 4pm, and dishes include chickpea and piquillo fritters served with smoked scarmozza cheese, smashed avo and poached eggs, and sourdough pizza topped with bacon, egg, buffalo mozzarella and black pepper.
An all-day dining menu will be served from noon, with dishes including turmeric-spiced cauliflower fritters with fried curry leaf or crispy mussels with seaweed. There’s also charred octopus served with charcoal mayo, hazelnuts, chilli, lime and nectarine or wagyu tartare with rye sourdough crisp bread.
Fancy something more substantial? Go for the lobster mac ’n’ cheese, a range of pizzas or burgers.
We can’t wait to try it.
Open daily noon-2am (8am-2am over the summer). Sheraton Mall of the Emirates, Al Barsha (56 404 0685).
