Bā opened recently at the popular hotel, while Blowfish opens later this month, and we can’t wait to find out more.
Bā boasts “a delicious array of modern Asian cuisine”. Think sushi, noodles, sharing plates and more. There’s a casual lounge and bar-style seating, plus happy hours and ladies’ nights are promised to be coming soon.
Not much has been revealed yet at Blowfish, but what we do know is that it’s an all-day casual American joint, and looks set to be highly Instagrammable, serving up “grab-and-go” dishes such as burgers, loaded hot dogs, crazy milkshakes and retro soda ice cream floats.
Last year funky Indian restaurant Little Miss India opened at Fairmont The Palm. The restaurant boasts colourful interiors and a sweeping outdoor terrace.
The centrepiece is a “Tribal Art Taxi” – one of the heavily painted trucks frequently seen in south Asia – which marks the entrance to the restaurant. The emphasis is on sharing plates and signature dishes include tandoori raan, dum biryani, lamb rogan josh, butter chicken, spicy shrimp curry with chilli, tamarind and coconut and cauliflower stir-fried with ginger, turmeric and cumin.
Bā is open daily from 5pm until 2am, while Blowfish will be open from noon until 7pm.
The restaurants join Flow Kitchen, Frevo and Seagrill Bistro at the hotel, making it a fast-growing hotspot for dining options.
