SIKKA Café launches second Dubai restaurant at La Mer
And the average meal for two costs just Dhs150
If you’re visiting La Mer this week, you may want to check out this new restaurant opening.
SIKKA Café, the trendy, contemporary restaurant that fuses Arabic, Emirati and Indian cuisine found at City Walk, has opened its second Dubai branch, and this time it’s located at the always-buzzing beachside destination.
Chill out next to the Arabian Gulf with some cracking bites to eat, including lamb machbous, Persian kebab, onion pakora, butter chicken and samaka hara. If you’re after something a bit sweeter, there’s something really interesting on the menu – baked labneh cheesecake with date jam, as well as Emirati chebab and ferni – a form of rice pudding served with saffron and rose petal cream.
We also like the look of the karak frappé with caramel or date syrup, so we can’t wait to kick back at this place – especially as the average price of a meal for two is just Dhs150.
With room for 48 guests inside and 98 outside, it might be the perfect time to enjoy some al fresco dining in the evening, before summer really kicks in.
If the popularity of the City Walk branch is anything to go by, the expansion of this traditional-meets-modern eatery is going to be equally popular. It adds to La Mer’s already bustling vibe, which already hosts a number of brilliant (and hugely popular) restaurants, including Stars N Bars, Masti, SMK and more.
We know where we’ll be heading this weekend.
Open daily 8am-2am. La Mer, Jumeirah 1 (04 385 6775).
