There’s a special menu to celebrate at this Palm Jumeirah restaurant
Love ceviche? Then you’re in luck, because Ají is celebrating the fish dish with a special menu.
The cool Peruvian-Japanese restaurant at Club Vista Mare on the Palm is marking Peruvian National Ceviche Day, or Día Nacional del Cebiche, on Thursday June 28 and there’s a special range of dishes just for the occasion.
The dish – which is essentially raw fish “cooked” in citrus with a range of flavours – is hugely popular in its native Peru. And it happens to be much-loved here in Dubai, too.
Ají’s Peruvian chef Miguel Nagamine has created a limited-run menu with four different styles of ceviche. “Ceviche is the perfect summer dish, refreshing in Dubai’s heat,” he said.
They will only be available from Sunday June 24 until Saturday June 30, so you’d best head to Club Vista Mare muy rápidamente if you want to be in with a chance of trying them.
The dishes include “wasabi”, made with sea bass, tobiko and cancha; “tate” with mixed seafood, jalapeño and tortilla chips in a spicy citrus sauce; “chifa”, consisting of tuna, onion, avocado, habanero, sesame and sweet potato chips and finally “Thai”, which is salmon paired with green papaya and crunchy quinoa.
You can get the dishes for Dhs65 each, or go for a platter of four for Dhs240.
And if that piques your interest, why not try one of the other top Latin American restaurants we have in the city? From Dhs65. Open Sat-Wed noon-midnight, Thu-Fri noon-2am. June 24-30. Club Vista Mare, Palm Jumeirah (04 552 0244).
