The popular Japanese restaurant is serving as usual
There’s good news for fans of Japanese food in Dubai. Popular restaurant Okku is now back open after a three-month break.
The Time Out Dubai award-winning restaurant reopened on Sunday (July 1), and is back to its old self after a revamp to the kitchen.
Set in The H Dubai, Okku is moodily lit and trendy. With swish décor (we love the slim curtain of hanging lights that divide the bar from the dining area) and dim lighting, it’s an ideal place to catch up with friends or for date night.
We also love the bar area, where you’ll be mesmerised by the jellyfish.
The team behind Okku confirmed to Time Out Dubai that the restaurant has “reopened for business after some kitchen renovations”, which took “longer than expected”.
And in even better news, the much-loved brunch and hugely successful ladies’ night – which offers up an excellent meal and drinks deal – will be making a return, too. Watch this space for more information.
The H Dubai is fast becoming a go-to spot in Sheikh Zayed Road, thanks to the opening of The Lion by Nick & Scott as well as news that popular JLT bar Axe House will be opening a second branch, in the space that housed Amika.
We can’t wait. Open Sun-Fri 7pm-3am. The H Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 501 8777).
