From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Do yourself a favour and don’t order a healthy option – it’s the heart-clogging, inexplicably greasy meals that put this chain on the map. First off, try to ignore the screaming children. It’s hard work, but with a little yoga training you can drown out the pests’ cries for attention.

Secondly, don’t hold back when ordering; while a main portion is big enough to feed yourself and your entire extended family, you won’t get the Chili’s effect if you order just one dish. Start your feast with a plate of classic nachos topped with chilli beans and cheese, served with sour cream, salsa and (for an extra Dhs5) guacamole.

For mains, try the Texas fries – lovingly called ‘a Texan cardiac arrest’ – an astonishingly large portion of French fries topped with chilli, cheese and beef bacon; or try the vegetarian quesadilla, an equally heavy but immorally delicious portion of Tex-Mex goodness served with lacklustre Mexican rice and a hearty side of beans.

End your gorge-fest with the aptly named ‘paradise pie’, which is an amalgamation of everything a greedy American kid wants (brownie, ice-cream and chocolate). In short, it’s a screamer of a dessert and you’ll be thanking your inner brat for egging you on.

Now I know why they call it the Quesadilla Explosion. It's a better name than Montezuma's revenge. Much of this food come frozen direct from states and gets lost in translation by the time it gets on to your plate. Not sure what the ingredients are but too much of it can be a bad thing...

Had a hearty meal last night. Ordered ?tortilla chicken soup, caesar salad, chicken pasta, salmon shrimp combo and chicken shrimp combo. The soup tasted more like lentil soup. Other dishes were all satisfying. The dessert which was cake, ice cream with chocolate syrup combo was enough for the 3 of us and was thoroughly enjoyed.
The waiters were all busy on this Friday night, so you really had to get their attention but once you've done that then they were prompt to deliver.

A great place. Relax and take your time. Very friendly staff to look after your gastric passion. No parking issues at night. Real value for money. Has gone little expansive over the past 02 years but still ok.

Me & my Brother visited Chili's yesterday. We were welcomed by a smiling staff, who got us seated. I ordered the Beef rib and my bro' got the Steak (Medium rare). I cannot explain the feeling i felt on taking the first mouthful of my beef ribs. It was paradise, it just melted in my mouth!!!!. Everything was just perfect, the sauce, the meat, just perfeeect!!!! The steak though was cooked to perfection, it paled in comparison to the beef rib. Great food, good service!!! Dont miss the Beef ribs!!!
