From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
There’s some glamorous food to get stuck into, but stick to simple starters; the roasted courgette with rocket leaves, huge chunks of feta cheese, pomegranate and pine nuts is full of bite and big enough to feed two. The pick of the mains includes the Thai chicken burger, while the crispy silken tofu on a bed of spinach will send shivers of delight down the spines of Dubai’s veggie contingent.
For dessert, the indulgent chocolate brownie is a winner. Dishes may seem pricey, but the food is a cut above your bog- standard bar fare, and you’re also paying to dine al fresco with amazing views over the Gulf to a backdrop of live music.
The mood is mellow in the early afternoon, but is buzzy later on in the evening when the place is packed to the rafters. Just don’t arrive ravenous, as the popularity of this unpretentious place means that you’ll probably have to wait a while before bagging a table.
