From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Apart from drink orders, miso soup refills and requests for hot food, the staff don’t have to do that much more than count your plates and take your money, so it bothers us that they’re constantly milling about. That said, the colour-rimmed plates host fine if unexceptional food.

The kamikaze is a potentially exciting combination of tuna, avocado and crab, but the flavours are made redundant by greasy tempura crumbs, while a similar fate plagues the urimaki spring rolls. The sashimi and nigiri are perfect, though, and the salads represent good value, with the fried aubergines and soy sauce, ginger and a squeeze of lemon being particularly tasty.

Top that off with the unbeatably speedy self-service – you can easily be in and out in 20 minutes – and it’s a job done semi-well.

P.S - The DIFC branch is DEAD at night and the most fun part about Yo!- the conveyor belt with the multi coloured bowls, is turned off post 4pm. The Marina Mall restaurant is more lively and fun in the evenings.

Yo Sushi is for those who like 'sushi on the go'. having said that, the chain in no way compromised on quality

The teriyaki's are good as are their maki rolls. Fine salmon and tuna sashimi (try the crusted one). The hand rolls are so-so.

If you're lost and confused, the staff as very willingly to help you decide and offer advice on their favourites. I'm glad I listened to them on that.
Over all, excellent sushi, excellent sashimi, some refreshing beverages and if you somehow manage to save some place, some decent desserts.

It was really a fun to go there and get to pick your own food upon sight... the experiance was great.. for the first 2 times

I realised that every time I went there i easily spent 100-200 dirhams for a meal that is supposed to be (value meal)..

I can spend the same amount in a medium-end Japanese restaurant and end up with a bill for the same amount
