From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2010

Epicure is a bit out of the way, but absolutely perfect if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The up-market deli-style restaurant is set next to an infinity pool that overlooks a vast expanse of polo fields and greenery at Desert Palm – the kind of place that you’d want to laze around all afternoon. The food helps compound this feeling. Think 100 per cent black Angus burgers that drip juice – not grease – in a freshly baked bun with bacon and onion jelly. For the less meaty-minded, there’s an impressive pizza menu too – baked to order in a traditional wood oven. The smoothies and juices are excellent too. The only thing we didn’t like on our last visit was the fact that the fries came a little too salted – a mere trifle in the grand scheme of things. A top spot for a relaxed weekend lunch.

A great menu with an excellent choice of international dishes that every time is of excellent quality!

The best get away from the crowded city. Amazing green surroundings and amazing menu; best time to go on week days as it gets quit busy during weekends.

the reviews on this are bogus.
the award for this place cannot be true.
the service was so bad...ie: get up to get you own menus, get up to get high chair yourself.
thankfully someone came to take our orders.
after it arrived and i began eating i wished they had not.
frozen pice of bad fish so over cooked in the most oily disgusting batter.
wife had a wrap which was marginally better, but just as bland.
lunch + one round of drinks = 650 AED a big rip-off
safe yourself the dive out to the middle of nowhere to a ""resort hotel' that looks like it has bee credit-crunched it is so abandoned.
More cafes have 5 times better food for half the $$$

Excellent at any time of day or evening. The menu changes but if requested they produced my old favourite juice cocktail, great!
A total, bright inside or out modern restaurant that stands out from the crowd in Dubai. Friendly professional staff who understand their customers.

I think that this place should win, cause all the others are quite well known and if you live in Dubai for a while you are getting too bored with the same old places being promoted on every corner!! It's time for smth new, interesting and most importantly, REALLY WORTH IT to take over!! I give my vote Epicure, as it deserves it!!
