From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
More a venue for a shisha and coffee than a full blown meal. It’s a shame really, as the place looks funky with its black and white interior, and a decked terrace area.
Service is pretty slack, as the place is normally full of people puffing away on shishas, so don’t be surprised if the drinks you ordered before your food still haven’t arrived before your starters are cleared away.
When the food does appear, it’s rather lacklustre Arabic fare compared to other places in the city. You’ll feel disappointed with the dry and bland falafel for a start. The spinach fatayer and hummus are better, but nothing earth shattering, and the best mezze to order is probably the mutabbal.
Slightly better is the mixed grill and kofta, but overall this isn’t a place to linger for a leisurely meal.
