From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2010

Dubai and malls go together like Alaska and ice: they’re a necessary nuisance that, at one time or another, you just have to accept as part of your life. While the majority of food courts are a menagerie of screaming kids, equally shouty parents and the kind of amorphous mass-produced, Dead Sea-salty slop that leaves you feeling oh-so-disappointed with yourself. Away from the sound and fury, though, there are worthy eateries like China Times that can surpass expectations. Once inside, the decor perfectly represents the food: tasteful, but not spectacular; functional rather than fantastic. And alongside the long list of Chinese favourites on the menu there’s also sushi – and it’s not half bad either.

Very decent place with some pleasant staff. We would recommend the Spicy Tom Yum soup and Crispy Fried Squid Rings for starters.

The rice dishes can be chosen with either meat, egg or seafood. Meat or seafood side dishes can be ordered with the Chinese sauce of your choice too. Very decent portions in terms of quantity.

The pricing is very affordable for the satisfying quality of food served in comparison to the many so called 'star' outlets!!!
Great for dine in before a movie, after shopping or take away! Guilt free spending for sure!!!!!

we went to china times to try their menu yesterday, and since we have an entertainer voucher, we are very excited to eat in this resto. however we are very disappointed fromt the beginning. the service was so cold and seems like they are happy that we were there,, we ordered braised seafood, mixed seafood sizzler and rice. the food was not good especially the braised seafood! and since we are not satisfied we decided to get the bill, since we have the entertainer voucher, we expected to pay less, but to our surprise, we paid the two main meal and they only less the rice we ordered! the voucher says free 1 main dish when you order one main dish. i cannot understand why they consider the rice as main dish!
We will not eat again to this restaurant! it sucks!
