For some, the word ‘bistro’ implies a moderately priced, simple French restaurant. M’s Bistro is no such establishment. However, some French elements are maintained (take their ‘escargots de Bourgogne with roasted yellow baby chicken’, for example), though the same cannot be said for the decor, which is more Mediterranean than French – terracotta tiles, olive trees and rich red hues. The menu doesn’t cater particularly well for vegetarians/non-beef eaters (but would vegetarians choose to go to a steakhouse?), but excels in terms of its global beef imports; take your pick of supreme cuts from Japan, New Zealand and the States. The wagyu beef can be tailored to your specification by selecting from a béarnaise, pepper, mushroom or mustard sauce. The side dishes are rather petite, but having the divine crêpes suzette flambéed with grand marnier at your table as a dramatic finale, will more than make up for that. Encore!

On my first visit last night. The weather was conducive enough to dine al fresco. Found my table set under a nice canopy. Bread & butter served first up, drinks next. Had the Burgundy snails for starters. 6 of them were served piping hot on an iron griddle. Used the bread to soak up the melted butter and garlic which felt unhealthy doing so towards the end. After about a 15 min. wait, came the main dish, 450gm U.S. angus beef ribeye with sides of spinach mushroom, mashed potatoes and Dijon sauce to go with it. As an add on had the pan fried foie gras. The spinach tasted fresh, the mushrooms too many and mashed potatoes were good. The steak ordered medium- rare was prepared exactly so. Easy to cut and pull apart with juices flowing out under the pressure of the knife, it was a well prepared dish. By the time I could finish the steak, I was more than satiated and had to leave much of the mashed potato and mushroom untouched.
Service was excellent. Apart from the mixing up of Coke for Pepsi, it was all smooth sailing.
All in all had a great time and would definitely recommend this place. The bill
Burgundy snails (6) AED 35
Angus Ribeye 450 gm AED 260
Foie gras AED 45
Diet Coke
Total including tip 370

Took my wife there for her birthday with six other friends.
Staff friendly and the food was excellent. I recommend the snails for starers and the tomahawk steak for two as your main meal. There was just so much meat my wife couldnt finish her plate. Wine was excellent. Would go back again and again

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Bistro's and we didn't regret it one bit. Amazing selection of wine. Pretty good starters and main course too.
