Thai Time
Addictive Thai food in Jumeirah 2 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2010
Although there is little this petit eatery can do to compensate for its mall-concourse setting, we’re happy to see that Thai Time has improved over the past year. Service is welcoming and caring (catering to those in a blind rush to meet the cinema timetable at Mercato next door), and food is of a fairly decent standard. While the satay is alarmingly illuminous, the mocktails are refreshing (especially the lemon mint, which is not overly sweet) and the pad thai is surprisingly light and flavourful even when finished off the following day for lunch. The location, surrounded by clothes and books shops, pharmacies and other random boutiques, may be a touch on the quiet side, but that might be just what some diners are after. In fact, on our last visit, we were lucky enough to spot some local royalty gliding past. Now that might just be the kind of plug necessary to put some life into that concourse address.
