From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

There’s really no reason this place should be as quiet as it is, as the food is very good.

While the barbecue pork spare ribs may leave a little to be desired in terms of presentation, they’re fleshy and tender, rich and sweet, with a hint of cinnamon spicing. The chicken san choy bow is infused with a smoky soy bean flavour, neatly complemented by the crisp lettuce leaf in which it’s wrapped.

For mains you shouldn’t miss out on the crispy shredded beef in chilli sauce – every bite is a perfectly sticky melding of sweet caramelised sugar with just the right amount of chilli for a sweet/sour balance. And the aromatic crispy duck pancakes are superb – the wraps soft and light, while the bird – with its tasty hoi sin sauce, cucumber and spring onion combo – is spot on.

Don’t come here expecting haute cuisine, but for good, simple Chinese food at a very reasonable price, it’s hard to beat.

The Golfer's brunch is probably at the Fours Seasons Golf Club in Ras El Khor and not at the Rydges in Satwa. Moreover Four Seasons at Rydges has completey changed concept and is more of a karaoke lounge now with Asian and Philipino specialties, and bottled beer at insanely cheap prices.
