Hatam
Persian food in the City Centre shopping mall 1 Reviews

It would be easy to pass by Hatam. Tucked away in a stretch of restaurants in Deira City Centre, this unassuming Persian restaurant is somewhat overshadowed by its more imposing neighbours. But if you can resist the allure of the predictable burgers, steaks and Chinese noodles nearby, you might discover something a little different.
Like borani esfenaj, for example. This is a traditional Persian yoghurt and spinach dip that demands to be scooped up with torn flaps of flatbread and dispatched with a salad of crisp green leaves, mint and crudités of spring onion.
Back it up with some tightly rolled vine leaves, stuffed with tangy rice, tomato and peppers. Try not to get too stuffed, though, because you should leave some room for the juicy, smoky grilled shrimps with onion, green peppers and saffron-infused steamed rice.
In fact, among the intricate Persian mosaics and traditional carved-wood flourishes, you’ll just want to relax, forget the retail rush outside and keep the courses coming.
