From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Once you have arrived at this beacon of gold and purple, it’s time to navigate your ravenous being through what at first appears to be a posh grocery store housing a series of intriguing deli counters.

Venturing out onto the terrace, you’re greeted by a series of inexplicably closely huddled tables and chairs, which may mean the sweet hint of shisha that met your nostrils when you stepped out is now in fact engulfing you, your meal and your poor, bewildered dining partner.

Despite the fact that you may have aged significantly before your drinks arrive, the food is definitely worth waiting a little longer for. The menu offers the usual suspects, but try the zesty spinach fatayer or the surprisingly light meat sambusak for starters.

The gourmet grill is an assortment of five perfectly cooked, different types of kebab, each prepared with varying spices and in a seemingly endless array of shapes. The hummus chicken shawarma plate, meanwhile, offers an apparently endless pile of perfectly cooked meat encircled by a thick and hearty hummus.

This is seriously good food.

My biggest complaint against this restaurant is their service . It took them an hour and more to get our main course to the table . Afer taking our order they got the saj , breads with hummus and moutabbal immediately . There was no sight of our drinks till we reminded them twice and as for the main course to wait for an hour and more is ridicuridiculous . And when we asked the manager he very emphatically defended the fact that " they always take 45-60 mints ( it was actually 70 mins ) to actually serve the main course . We have been to other lebanese restaurants more popular , larger , tastier , we have never had to wait for more than 30 mins . They really need to do something about their service . What happens is that one looses one's appetite waiting for the main course and it dosen't help to be upset when eating .

no doubt it has a wonderful and splendid display of products. it's really jouful to the eye. however my compliments to this place ends here.

these guys need to go back to cooking books to learn abt lebanese food.. and i dnt think microwave heating of food is a part of tradional lebanese cooking..moreover, charging for olives is a never head off in lebanese resturants, not to forget their highly inflated prices for ill cooked daily dishes...
