From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
The sandwiches aren’t bad at this café chain – the Fisherman’s Faluche is an agreeable smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber number, and the simple camembert and salad baguette offers the perfect lunch-time fill.
The tomato and mozzarella on polka bread, meanwhile, comes with a strong olive paste, which is not to everyone’s liking. Don’t bother with the panache salad – a tasteless mix of avocado, asparagus, sweetcorn and artichokes, it lacks the exciting dressing it needs.
Instead order the simple goat’s cheese salad with baby tomatoes. The eggs benedict here is impressive for a high street café, and the cakes and pastries are to die for. On the whole this is a good lunch and breakfast venue.
