From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2007

Aran is what the ancient Celts called bread. It’s also a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bakery stuck out by the escalators in an unimpressive corner of Deira City Centre. But it’s worth seeking out, because you’ll find deliciously indulgent open sandwiches on traditional German-style sourdough bread. You’ll also find excellent coffees, loaves to take home and, oddly, a small selection of German jazz CDs.
