Fuddruckers
American diner serving giant burgers in Dubai 2 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
This American burger joint is a good pit stop for lunch if you’re in the area. In fact, you can whizz in and out in 30 minutes. Whether you want to tuck into a half pounder with Angus beef, melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions, or one of the chicken quesadillas, you’ll find the food run-of-the-mill, but perfect for a quick fill.
Fuddruckers is surprisingly good for vegetarians, the wrap with veggies, guacamole and sour cream is a pleasure to devour and, these days, you can substitute the meat burgers with a veggie option. Popular at lunchtime with a mixture of office workers and mums with small children, there’s plenty of space in this relaxed restaurant.
Spread out in the comfy booths with your workmates and order sweet onion rings and milkshakes to slurp on before the main event arrives. The portions are huge; great if you’re trying to fill up on carbs after a night out, but not so much if you’ve got to get back to your desk and look mildly awake.
We’d dispute the menu’s claim that Fuddruckers has been serving up the ‘world’s greatest hamburgers for 25 years’, but we’d hazard a guess that they’ll still be around in years to come enthusiastically dishing up above average fare.
