Noodle House
Popular noodle chain comes to Deira City Centre 1 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008
Why is there always a queue to get into this place? The Noodle House creates perfectly glassy crystal shrimp dumplings and sweet and doughy chicken siew mai that would be the envy of a Hong Kong street café. Rarer still are restaurants that successfully serve several types of Asian food well.
The Noodle House does so effortlessly – schezuan spiced beef is stunningly tender and succulent; Thai chicken with cashew is saturated in a rich nutty flavour; the Singapore noodles are delightfully slurpy thin with plenty of prawns. Even the broccoli on the side strikes a balance between crunchy and soft.
The key for The Noodle House seems to be simplicity and quality, hinging on simple Asian dishes with juicy, well cooked ingredients. The sleek, always busy interior features long wooden tables overlooking an open kitchen where food theatrically flames, and service is brisk and mercifully non-intrusive.
So it’s almost too good to be true that even the dessert is heaven. Sinfully rich, the sumatra chocolate pot is microscopic, yet you’ll need to share to cope with the insanely rich chocolate mingled in coconut that unfolds a symphony upon your taste buds – further proof that waiting for a table at The Noodle House pays rich dividends.
