If you need some serious sustenance, the grilled beef tenderloin is a decent solution. The meat is substantial (if a little overcooked), the mash is creamy, the roasted courgettes, peppers and aubergines are perky, and the steak sauce is dotted with crunchy red peppercorns.

Which is all the more satisfying when you consider that you’re sitting in a unit occupying the entrance to a Spinneys supermarket, opposite a branch of McDonald’s. Suddenly the term ‘fusion relaxation’ begins to make a lot more sense.
