Chalet

Eccentric café on Jumeirah Beach Road Discuss this article

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2008

Enter Chalet and you’re immediately in a surreal world of kooky cartoon-style decor, bright lights, eccentric tables (well, toadstool-shaped) and giant strawberries. Lest you run away with the notion that Chalet only serves mosses, bilberries and lichens, rest assured; the menu is packed with grills, seafood, and pasta, most of which romp in firmly under the Dhs25 mark.

We recommend heading straight for a huge and extremely filling biryani, a vast bed of rice with two quarter pieces of chicken and tomato sauce.
