Deep in the sophisticated Al Bustan Rotana hotel, chefs bang pots and juggle knives in the Benihana restaurant. Offering both sushi and teppanyaki, guests can choose to sit in one of two rooms: one with the grills and one for those opting for a healthier, quieter evening. The decor is fairly simple with brown panelled walls and medium lighting, but you don’t come here for the decor, you come here for the experience. The chefs are fast, friendly and humorous. Ours explained all the ingredients he cooked, but turned them into sweet versions: ‘Now we add some ice cream (actually butter) to the Japanese bananas (actually courgette) and season with some sugar (actually salt)’. The service is excellent, prices reasonable and ingredients good quality. Try the sizzling salmon and scallops with their house ginger sauce. All main dishes are accompanied by rice (either steamed or fried with veggies and egg), salad and a delicious onion soup to start. The entertaining atmosphere is an idea for birthday parties and families; groups of up to seven or eight per grill.

this place is not the best when it comes to atmosphere and decor but it's definitely one of the best sushi places I've been to in Dubai! we went to the "all you can eat" sushi night on Thursday and I was blown away by the value! perfect sushi, wine (not amazing, but not horrible), and a complete dessert table! It's really worth it! Also if you go at 6:30 and leave before 8:30 during the all you can eat sushi night, you can use the "early bird deal" and pay 160 each instead of 198 which is amazing if you have dinner early!

It's defiantly my new favorite place for sushi in Dubai!

Great food, except the steak, not fresh and tough cuts, chef not bad though not amazing. Service though - very bad! Spoke with the manager several times about how long things were taking, he didn't solve. Half our group of 14 left before deserts were finally served 3 hours after we arrived! Impossible getting attention for drinks. Benehana in London and Oz is farrr better, fresher ingredients and service much better. I've been here twice now, and both times not good.

We became addicted to this restaurent , we go there every week once or twice sometimes!

im an avid fan of japanese food specially sashimi and sushi, but having a dinner at benihana in al bustan its absolutely worth it. The food is superb had shrimp on starter, salmon beef and chicken as maincourse, and wasabi ice cream in my dessert the night is complete. And to mention the service, its absolutely warmth i dont feel intimidated. way to go benihana al bustan hotel.

This time came back with family for some teppanyaki. Good show by chef Fernando. It took more than half an hour to get things started. Food portion seems less though admittedly tasty. Didn't get the tea that was part of the teppanyaki deal.

Came here for the second time last Thursday. Had the grilled hammour and rib eye steak with cream mustard. Also tried the Mojito sake. Pedestrian fare. Fun watching the teppanyaki show going on at another table. Would like to try that some time especially for the kids.

This is not my first time having dinner at Benihana. As the pervious times, the service is kind of sloppy, and the chef takes a very long time to come to the table, unlike the Benihana branch in london. The food used to be better though, not saying that it was bad, it was just BETTER. They should increase the teppanyaki nights, since thats the main attraction to the restaurant. Just to be clear, when I booked the table, there was no mentioning whatsoever of a set menu being placed. All in all, i'd give it an 8/10.

I am an avid fan of Benihana! I love the Teppanyaki Night every Sunday & the Sushi night every Tuesday. The hostess is always smiling and all the staff provide great service. Chefs are funny & the food is just lovely. This is a go-to place if u really want to find the best Jap food in Dubai!

sushi is very good and the teppaniyaki too, just the problem of the smell, but the total experience is great , will deffenitly go back to benihana.
great for familly and friens and good entertainment.

Had very slow drink service and the meat, especially the chicken was poor quality (thigh, not breast meat). The sushi was just ok but ordered the chicken, steak, and lobster and all were tough. The chef was not very experienced and missed on the tricks. Got a shrimp tail in my drink.
