From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011

Chill Out is a rather obvious name for a café that’s cooled to -6°C and offers ice chairs to sit on. Situated in the nondescript Times Square Mall, it costs Dhs60 for entry, which includes the hire of fur hats and padded coats and gloves, as well as one drink: hot chocolate being the most appealing. Inside, surreal abstract images of women decorate the walls, and techno music blares. The soup is, thankfully, hot – though nothing life- or palate-challenging, while the sandwiches just can’t be enjoyed due to the extreme temperatures. not to mention the constant worry that any exposed flesh will get stuck to the ice everywhere. Certainly worth a visit for novelty purposes, but don’t expect to relax, or even really have a decent conversation over the blasting AC and techno-heavy music. We’re not sure about the eco-friendliness of it all, but it’s worth a trip when you’re bored in the summer.

i have been there twice and would still like to go there. the environment inside is so good you dont feel like going out. really good experience something different in dubai with the hot climate outside.

I went a year ago with family and friends, and still haven't forgotten the experience. It's worth going at least once, specially when you take a lot of pictures ... the pictures really turned out great!! it's not mentioned anywhere, but if you're going in a group, they also give out discounts!

The entrance fee has been wrongly updated. The entrance fee actually is AED 60 for adults and AED 30 for kids and is inclusive of a welcome drink.
The ice lounge served barbecues, soups, sandwiches and a variety of hot drinks and mocktails.. and needless to say provides a very different CHILL OUT experience which has no parallel in the entire middle east.
