If you’re a New Dubaian, trying to reach the Hyatt Regency in Deira is a trek and a half. But we think you should do it. Once inside, it’s all charming class and tea lights. Designed like a spacious villa, there are many ‘rooms’ to dine in so you have your choice of seating...did we mention there’s a fountain in here too? The staff are quite exceptional – if you're waiting on someone running late the staff have newspapers on hand – and the food doesn’t disappoint. The spicy seafood soup is a delight piled high with marine creatures, and mains such as the potato gnocchi with mushrooms and parmesan is rich and filling. The breaded lamb chops are cooked perfectly, but the flavour only came alive with a dash of lemon. You might not get all the way through the generous portions – there needs to be a bit more of a balance as this dish is all meat with just a small baked potato on the side. Make sure you leave room for dessert. Yes, there’s tiramisu but do try the warm chocolate cake or, better yet, the crème catalana with fresh strawberries. Focaccia is perfect for a special date that shows you put a bit more thought into the night than just taking a date out to the joint round the corner. Sure she’ll be surprised by the location, but she’ll definitely be impressed by the restaurant that will no doubt ignite the passionate Italian in you.

If you are looking for something not italian, skip this place, otherwise enjoy!

We've been to that place for Brunch a tons of times and it is one of the few I recommend in Dubai. The staff is great, the food is authentic, they stick to the italian theme and they do it well, pizza, pasta, meat, even the little touch of having the pork section makes it worth the stop. they also have a small selection form the sea, never had any problem with their oysters which I always take by the dozen.

If you are a family with kids, that's also the place, not only kids under 12 eat free, they have a room dedicated for them, there they will have the usual kid's buffet and toys, but they will also make their own cookies with the help of a French chef! And they can bring them home after!

We had gone for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The experience for us was very disappointing. After reading so many positive reviews on time out we had high expectations. The service was a nightmare. The starter took good half an hour to come (we had ordered warm bean salad with chicken); the reason given was that the chicken takes long to cook. When we pointed out that this should have been pointed out by the service staff; the reply was that the service staff is new. The salad was drab -had no dressing or accompanying sauce and the portion was so big that it could qualify for main course. Pizza was just about average (Dubai has so many small joints that serve fantastic pizza). The only saving grace was Spaghetti.
Over all experience was too bad.

excellent all around - decor, view, ambience and the starters are good enough by themselves....and oh the chocolate fondue - just gorgoues. would be nice to have proper champagne but im not complaining too much and it might end rasing price bit higher anyways

Great staff and very good food. This restaurant is a secret spot !!
Unfortuantelt they don't have any live entertainment throughout the week. Their Brunch is by far the best in town !
