From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011

Tucked away on the plaza level just above The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence, you’ll find Kabab-Ji, a the houmous beiruty that includes fava beans, parsley, sesame sauce and olive oil. Delicious. There’s a good variety of mouajanat from cheese and spinach pastries to meaty kibbeh. Classics like the shish taouk and kebab arayes don’t disappoint either – they all come in generous portions and will leave you feeling very satisfied. There are quite a few desserts to choose from, including Lebanese halawa and biscuit with raha, which involves a slab of Turkish delight and vanilla ice cream as the filling of a tea biscuit sandwich. The flavours of the latter didn’t quite work, but you have to give them marks for serving up something different.

I tried the JBR branch on a friday night. The service was good, the staff was friendly and smiling, food was good but no hummous or salad with the meal.. I mean we were 2 people and ordered a mixed grill platter for 2 it cost us Dhs 85/- it came without fries or hummous or salad , we had to pay seprate for it, the total bill came around 115/- with only a bottle water and hummous added to the grill. I think the price is not wort it but food was fresh and good, the oven baked arabic bread was good with the hot grill platter.
oh yea and dont even take a peek at the toilet because I doubt if they have hired anyone to clean it ;)
I might or might not go again , because I have eaten arabic food as good as this one at almost half price . So I didnt find anything different or extra special to pay extra for the same kind of food

Went to Kabab-ji in the foodcourt at Mirdif City Centre. Placed my order and was met with a sigh and little else. Waited approx 10 mins and was shocked when I received my order. Has asked for Chicken Kebab platter and got 4 pieces of kebab and a packet of lebanese bread. That's it. No salad, no rice, no hummus, no fries. And for that I paid Dhs 30. In comparison, Nonoo Kebab which is opposite, charges Dhs28 and gives 3 types of rice, bread, fries and yoghurt. I will never go back to Kabab-ji again.

Service is really horrendous....it's too bad because the food is really good...there are some areas of the restaurant which aren't cooled so if you need a cool spot to sit in during the summer months, you are confined to certain areas. When we asked for the bill, the waiter handed us a sheet of paper with the total amount written on it with no breakdown of the bill whatsoever....Also they refused to accept the Time Out Card when the TimeOut website says they accept it.

One of the best kabab I have ever had even better than Beirut
Don't try Beirut on the high way very disappointing

Had a great dinner here with my family. Loved their food, and the mixed grill was awesome. Staff even provided some complimentary fruit when we paid the bill

Great food, great view of the sea. Very reasonably price. The tabbooleh and A3arayes are to die for.

Unfriendly service.
Food is NOT tasty.
Ambience does NOT exist.
Don't even thing of ordering their kebabs, which is a disguise to Lebanese kitchen.

The sandwiches are great for home delivery. Try the kabab orphali with grilled tomatoes. Spicy & yummy !
