Iranzamin
Traditional Iranian food in Deira 1 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
It certainly doesn’t look like much, but don’t let appearances fool you – aside from its somewhat shabby appearance and dubious soundtrack, Iranzamin serves up some pretty tasty Persian fare. The borani-e-esfanaj is packed with sweet spinach strained into a flavoursome alternative to the standard mast yoghurt, along with some good, if not quite exceptionally crispy, Iranian bread. Iranzamin’s food may not be pretty, but this is all made up for by its taste – a fiery mirza-ghasemi, and bakthiari or a chelo kebab-kubideh (the minced lamb here is done to a treat) kebabs. During the week, the restaurant can be rather empty, so we recommend dropping by on the weekends to puff on a shisha and sample some of the food – though only if you’re in the area.
