Chinese Kitchen
Budget Chinese food on Al Wasl Road 5 Reviews
From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
From the outside, next to popular late-night snack stop Al Reef Bakery, Chinese Kitchen appears to be a simple takeaway joint. And from the inside, the case is proven: downstairs houses just a counter and a man ready to take your order and pass a pair of chopsticks for you to take home; upstairs are a few dining tables, but the ceiling is so low and the waiters so unused to people actually eating in that it can’t really be recommended as somewhere to head out for a bite to eat. The food itself is standard, expectably greasy, but unusually generous in portion size: once you’ve got past the prawn crackers you could quite easily feel unable to fit in the next course. Our advice? Order one dish each, and definitely no more.
