From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011

Already one of the finest and least pretentious wine bars in the country, Oscars also serves food that’s much more than just something to soak up the drink. The rustic French-wine-cellar theme of the place means whitewashed walls, barrels used as tables, and a live accordion player – and the menu fits in with it nicely. The steak frîtes are a reliable Gallic classic and we can highly recommend the cheese board. Most notably there are great daily deals on offer throughout the week – the Dhs99 all-you-can-eat moules frîtes being one of the best. Although the food isn’t something you’d expressly come here for, it’s very rarely less than a solid accompaniment to the drink, which will always be the key attraction.

Like dining in ashtray! People smoking all around, including cigars- gross!!!
The food is quite good & fairly priced.
The wine list is extensive but expensive.
The staff are really lovely.
Such a shame about the dirty fag stink!

Great place for wine and a taste of Europe! Beautiful interior and caring staff and kitchen. Cheese nights are amazing. A good place for dinner and drinks before heading out in downtown.

Fantastic wine bar. For one evening you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. Great place even for non wine experts. Great littel descriptions on what flavors you can taste :)

Oscar's should get a Resteraunt 'OSCAR.

I think it is one of the trendiest places I have been to here in Dubai. The people there are just great, I knew only little about wines befor I started going there but now....., well THEY made me an expert: Teaching me flavours , grapes , Vinyards and all that stuff. Now I show off when I am having a wine with friends, and it works.
Besides that you should try the chese ther -formidable-

Over it is just the greates bar in Dubai....!

Great spot for wine lovers after grinding through the joys and tribulations of a working day in Dubai.
Knowledgeable and very friendly staff, excellent tidbits of food.
if you want to drink quality wine that is worth what you are paying rather than having to settle for the house wine (at similar prices) this place is your best bet.

I think Oscars is definetely one of a kind in Dubai. It has very knowledgeable staff who is always ready to recommend the best wine matches depending on the "mood" you are in and what food you are having.
The clientele is very friendly and unpretentious, making this bar a very comfortable and relaxed place to go have a drink and unwind after a hard day at work!
