From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011

Located in the pleasant Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa, this first floor restaurant overlooks the square with a green garden area and a lit up pool. The balcony offers relaxing views and the restaurant opens into a large dining room area with a romantic corner section dressed with padded red walls and dim lantern lighting. Music is traditional Lebanese but unobtrusively plays in the background. The prices are reasonable for the setting and the quality of food is refreshingly good and of a consistent quality. We recommend their delicious raheb salad with aubergine, tomatoes and vegetables or a hearty portion of fattoush salad. The service is attentive and it’s a great place to have a shisha. More of a tourist and expat hangout than a local spot, this is down to the setting rather than the quality of food. Children are welcome but the atmosphere is relatively sophisticated compared to other Lebanese restaurants. Be warned: the may automatically fill your glasses with water when you sit down without asking, it’s Evian water (Dhs24) and it’s not free.

Too Expensive for the kind of service and food quality

The Terrace setting is nice but the staff would only assign the nice tables to regular customers

nice sheesha but again way too expensive

I won't go back again. Parking is very painful and vallet takes forever to retrieve your car.
I won't go back

We went to the restaurant last night for a good entertainment.
The appetizers and fruit were good. The food was not good. And the worst thing was the entertainment. They played very slow music, the belly dancer was very average and the music during band's break time, was as if broadcasting from an old radio program, we had to escape before getting crazy by horrible music.
If anyone is willing to have Arabic entertainment , the best is to go to AL Mawal in Murooj Rotana or Al Tanoor in crown plaza. The prices are the same as this but at least the music and dancer are good.

Our company invited us for a lovely evening out. Unfortunately we went to Al Qasr. Food average and Service awful. I were waiting approx 15-20min to get drinks. Set menu was ordered and got changed because the cook forgot to buy enough meat. Bill was wrong (2 set menues were added but not consumed, same with a couple of drinks). Our management made an official complain.

Im only wondering how Time out could give them an award. This restaurant is only a RIP OFF!

Readers, beware of this restaurant. Awful food, service, atmosphere & above all they will RIP YOU OFF. A must avoid. If you want real Lebanese food, you must visit El Hallab Restaurant.

The food was very good, very well served, the show of the dancer and music was great. Totally recommend it! great because you are served a little bit of everything, specially if you don't know what to ask for. Great to take a friend that comes to visit you!

I was really disappointed with the restaurant. i had heard good things about it but when i actually tried the food it was less than average. I also found the atmosphere a bit tacky and old style. there is potential in the place, but it needs renovation.
