The ONE furniture store is renowned for being stylish, on-trend and more expensive (justifiably so) than IKEA (another brand that insists on capital letters). Fortunately, the cafe, hidden away on the first floor of the Jumeirah 1 store, fits similar, if not better, criteria. The furniture, naturally, is chic (and includes hanging price tags), while the selection of food is fantastic.

 Innovative ‘deli style’ options include Gourmet veggies (aubergine and mozzarella fritters and sun-dried tomato pesto mayo), specials (herb-crusted salmon filet) and sandwiches (roasted pumpkin with halloumi and sun-dried tomato pesto) – a combination of which can be chosen for a set, very reasonable price. Drinks are similarly creative, ranging from Masala chai to ‘posh juice’ – a watermelon chilli cooler, for example. And that’s all without mentioning the cakes, or excellent breakfast menu (we recommend the homemade muesli, which includes sweet couscous). Does the service let it down? Not one iota, with waiters keen to recommend dishes and combinations without prompting. Our only quibble is the quiet atmosphere – which for many we’re sure is an added bonus.

A wonderful surprise. Excellent healthy food, took a chance as we were going to stop by a popular cafe near by but the food (though not huge choice) is far superior. Lovely decor (obviously) and its perfect for the summer heat when you want to be sitting inside too

I love this place, the menu it's not very big but the quality and the value for money it's great, much cheaper than some neighboring restaurants that charge a fortune and don't have a good service. I would definitely go back there!

We come here for during office lunch times. The menus changes a little every time we go but there are some staples. The lunch deals are very reasonable where you can do combinations with the salads, mains and sides.

Its a bit strange eating in a furniture store but get over it because this place serves up some of the food I have had in Dubai. The food is so fresh and the ingredients top notch. I had a roasted beetroot, pumpkin and feta tart on my last visit and it was great. This place doesn't have the atmosphere of Lime Tree but I think the food is a cut above.
