Popping up in malls around Dubai, this chain has moved up a notch by opening a full on sit-down restaurant in the upper food court, overlooking the ice rink at Dubai Mall. As such the view’s unique and the eaterie’s white and green decor works to give you a feeling of space – a rarity in this mammoth mall where advert screens, stores and more clamour for attention.

However the food doesn’t seem to have caught up with the chain’s lofty aspirations. The menu features noodle dishes, Thai curries and various deep-fried starters. The lamb satay starter is but mains fair better with a crispy fish and vegetable sweet and sour dish arriving hot, crispy and plentiful. With the same menu as their takeaway outlets, what you’re paying for at Assia in Wok is the view and a quiet sit down away from screaming hordes of children.

wld def go back but....have been to the burj residences branch a couple of time and the waitress always there is unbelievably arrogant and she always have this ua nagging me face!

Come on the name of the restaurant has a certain significance to it , i mean a world wide franchise would not accidentally mis-spell they're title , and the food was great with a huge variety.

I was just looking for their number to order and am surprised to see so many bad reviews. i ve been there once, the service was fast and friendly (it was 5 in the afternoon though) and the food was ok (its a foodcourt after all) - so no complaints from my side.

Well...what can I say. Perhaps the worst restaurant in Dubai so far, bad staff, bad quality food, bad attitude, mix up orders..do you want me to go on!

been here on Friday, May 8 just to sit and wait for our orders for an hour, and when they came, even the drinks were not the right orders! and ironically, the person who took our orders was unbelievably the supervisor named Sayed. The service is the worst I have experienced my entire life! We had to leave and nobody even dared to apologize, and they even let us pay 20dhs for 1 Pepsi! Totally unbelievable service!!!! I will never, ever go back!!

The worst restaurant I've been in in a while. The food is bland, the service is weak and frankly it cannot compete against the likes of Japengo and such. What a uninviting and unimaginative name!!!

i guess we should be fair with our judjement and dont take it too personal maybe when you went there it was just the begining because everytime i go to Assia in wok its full and i dont think they are unsatisfied clients .

I think the spelling of ASSIA is just a style...And I think they also prove their exotic style on their food...I will definitely go back here..
