Don’t be put off by the Holiday Inn venue or the Barsha location, The Royal Budha serves up some of the best Thai food in the city. Fresh ingredients bursting with flavour, made into interesting dishes that stand well above the traditional staples make this place a must for fans of South East Asian fare. It’s a crime this place isn’t heaving every night of the week because for all the delicate touches, like ginger tea on arrival and beautiful presentation of dishes, The Royal Buddha offers high-end dining at mid-range prices. Starters include a beef tenderloin Thai salad which features succulent chunks of perfectly spiced prime meat. Mains range from curries to lighter northern Thai dishes such as steamed fish in banana leaves, which manages to be light, tasty and incredibly filling at the same time. With more atmosphere, this could well be an award-winning restaurant.

As a great fan of Thai cuisine especially green curries. I have to commend the chef on serving one of the best I've tasted in Dubai and perhaps better even then the ones I've tasted across establishments in the UK, US and Asia. Don't go here for frills or views, go if you want great food and great service.

My husband and I went to many restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We travelled also in many countries in GCC but also in Asia like Malaysia. We can say that this is the best thai restaurant in Dubai and also Abu Dhabi. The chef as well as all others cooks are from thailand, the service is excellent, the food is authentic and for people who really knows the thai taste, this is the place to go. I will definitely recommend this restaurant but only for those who can appreciate the high quality of this food.

From far away the best traditional and tasteful thai restaurant i ever tasted in UAE and i can say that i am a "connoisseur" in thai food.
Here is a good trick: Ask about the "nepal boy" and tell him about your tastes and preferences, he will sort out the perfect menu for you!
Really "grande cuisine" with so friendly service. Bravo!

Its a very hit or miss with this one both in terms of food and service. On a good night they serve the best Thai food in Dubai - excellent green curry, Jumbo Prawns and minced basil chicken. But on other nights, that same food could be flavorless and boring. The same goes for service - sometimes its great and other times the staff is nowhere to be found. Its always a coin toss

very good restaurant and great tasty thai food, also not overpriced as many other places here in Dubai. Definitely will go back there again. Service was also fine.

My husband and I were not at all impressed with the food in this restaurant. We have lived in Dubai for three years now and this was the worst eating experience we have had.
The price is ok-but you get what you pay for! The food was below average.
The decor is tacky.
If you want a quick and cheap Thai meal then no problem. But if you want quality food in a quality setting there are much better Thai restaurants in Dubai.

We decided to take my mom there for her birthday dinner and was quite disappointed. We went on a Thursday night and were surprised to find the restaurant unusually understaffed for such a busy night. It took them 30 min to take our order. Food came about 20 minutes after that which was fine. Apart from the soups, the food was quite good especially the seabass. We wanted to surprise our mother with a cake which we had bought beforehand but it took them another 40 minutes to arrange for the cake to be brought to the table.

This restaurant could only be good for a romantic dinner. Please do not go there if you're starving and need fast service.

Just came back from my vacation from Thailand and decided to visit a thai restaurant in Dubai. As soon as I have a City Club card the option of Thai restaurants was not big, so I and my husband decided to do to Royal Buddah in Holiday Inn. The hotel itself is not impressive ( business type) but the restaurant really impressed me. The embience , staff , food was impressive. I dont remember the last time i experienced such an excellent service in Dubai. As for food - like in the best Thai restaurant, everything is fresh and delicious. What made me twice happy is a discount we get after presenting a city club card. The bill was around 250 dhs for 2 people . Really great value for the quality you get! Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful friendly staff, great Thai chef Sakphon who came out of the kitchen to explain the ingredients and he has a lot of great experience around Dubai and the region. A real gem to find such delicious authentic Thai food in the neighborhood, we will be coming back here a lot.
