Its name may evoke images of kimonos and coy fish but this Asian fusion restaurant on the 18th floor of TECOM’s Grand Millennium hotel is on a mission to master every cuisine from China to Thailand. While the majority of restaurants in this city manage to fail such an ambitious task, Toshi get its right – especially if the crowds are anything to go by. On weeknights it hosts themed spreads and on our last visit, the place was heaving brunch-style, Thursday night offers an all-you-can-eat Thai buffet for an a very affordable Dhs215 (including drinks). While the à la carte menu is overwhelmingly disjointed and difficult to get your head around, options are plentiful. Whether you’re after sashimi, wok-fried king crab, Thai beef-style salad, wagyu beef strips or deep-fried ice cream, there is something for everything and it’s all totally edible, without being overpriced. Smokers will also love the fact you don’t have to take a lift downstairs to spark up – there is an adjoining bar and room to do so, as well as a smoking section within the restaurant.

I only tasted Thai food because it was Thursday (Thai Night)... I love the place and so as the food... Highly recommended!

The food was unremarkable for the prices (the tepanyaki especially so), but it was decent food and attentive service.

We tried out the Asian Night last night at Toshi, and left quite impressed. Will definitely go back. The only thing that wasn't to my liking were the amount of kids running around. Its not exactly a family friendly restaurant. There was also no music. That spoilt the ambience a little.

Sushi is excellent, very fresh, and the food is overall very good as well!!!

Bit disappointed that they didn't have beer on tap.

Lovely views of the city, but book early to get a window seat!

Really unimpressed with the food, pretty standard sushi, but for some reason they charge two to three times what other restaurants do, 80aed for a standard no frills dragon roll!. It also took 45 minutes to get our order.
Has a nice view though.

Highly recommend the Sushi night on Tuesday's. Well worth the AED 120/person with good quality sushi, tempura and salads. Been there twice so far with a group of 7 and another group of 13.

Family friendly and great view towards Burj Al Arab.

I dine here quiet regularly and always have a good experience. The restaurant has panoramic views, great service and great food. A great place to dine with friends or family
