When reviewing that humble genre of foodstuff known ominously as ‘bar food’, it’s safe to say one encounters more than the odd hamburger. But on the upside – one become a connoisseur, and you begin to see the burger not so much as a mere sandwich, but as a genre of itself. The Hilton’s house sports bar has no pretentious to fine dining; put simply – Studio One serves a very good burger. They also fish up a decent pizza, and a smattering of other American and British inspired bar food; everything we’ve sampled has been tasty and well-priced. Like the bar itself, none of the food is flashy, new or inventive, but they do the classic well – but again, like the bar, it’s warm, wholesome, appealing, and ticks all the boxes.
