Ruth’s Chris was founded 45 years ago in the US, yet unlike many of its contemporaries it avoids the brash, over-the-top vibe that can plague American chains. The Dubai outpost of this steakhouse favourite offers refined, classy decor with a modern twist, though the vibe is far more high-end than your average US diner. The menu offers plenty of American favourites, from lump crab cakes and lobster to some high-grade USDA steaks, heated to 1,800F, dribbled with diet-busting butter and served on a searing platter. Prices stack up well against Dubai’s other five-star steakhouses, staying on the right side of Dhs750 for a meal for two.

I keep going back! Since the first day this steakhouse has totally taken and kept my heart. The food, the service, the wine, the recommendation of starters, the breadbasket, the scallops and the mouth-watering cheesecake....amazing! I have made my impression very well known while there and have recommended you to every friend i have in the UAE or visiting in search for a phenomenal steakhouse. You are it boys and girls, I adore the steaks and the awesome service, you should have won this year!

I went during 2011 and starting from the welcome till the bill payment, I enjoyed the service from all staff. Food was excellent. Mouth watering. Was pampered like a princess living up to the name of the hotel itself. Prices were a little towards the higher side. But if I get a chance again, I will surely go.

What a disappointment after all the hype. We were 4 businessmen looking for a good steak. The selection was not only poor but we ordered medium rare to find the stak was presented on scolding hot plates so continued cooking and quickly became medium/well done. How stupid can you get!! French fries had seasoning in them so not that edible and the bearnaise sauce could have come out of a bottle.

That is the problem with many high end Dubai restaurants. Lots of hype but generally over expensive and poor quality. I suppose whilst restaurants can get away with it they will not change. I could not recommend this restaurant which is a shame because we actually need restaurants that we can go back to more than once

This used to be my favorite steak house, but everything changed! The last time I went was so bad that I decided to never go back again.
First thing we didn't get served bread like other tables and no one even acknowledged the fact that we weren't attended to.
When we got our starters they where so bland and tasted like air! We got our steaks and oh my they tasted so bad I can't even describe it in words. After struggling to find a waiter to talk to I had to send the steaks back and the so called "manager" spoke to me apologizing and saying that even if I had it returned the steak would still taste the same, he was simply trying to say indirectly don't change it! just deal with it If a professional manager was dealing with a similar situation he would change it instantly with out arguing! It was as if the problem was with us and not the steak! And that's the main reason I'm not going back!
Simply the steak was NOT FRESH!
The only good thing was the sweet potato casserole.
All in all the standards of this restaurant dropped you can see and taste it!

We visit so many Ruth's Chris restaurants in USA and Dubai is far the best. Not just excelent steaks and seafood, but the service is just amazing... Thank you Michael and the whole Team!!
2 weeks in Duabi and dining in Ruth's Chris was one of the best experiences ever!
We had the best Lobster ever and the funny part is the fact that we have it in the Steakhouse... hard to believe it...

I write to bring your attention to the excellent service I received in your restaurant last 3 weeks. The beautiful tall hostess welcomed me at the entrance and propose us to get a drink in the bar a tall barman invite us to the bar it was awesome to meet educated friendly barman's so you can have nice conversation not like others bars in town after enjoying my drink, the same elegant good looking barman took me to a table his attention remained personal and we were looked after professionally throughout our visit, the steak recommended by the waiter Patrick the only name i remembered was so delicious it was new York strip and fillet the sauce absolutely perfect as well the desert bread pudding recommended was enough for two well done to the chef. Patrick was a very pleasant nice well-groomed and professional waiter who provide the best service. I shall not hesitate to recommend your establishment to my friends for quality of food and service. Thank you again.

Well guys all I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW! this has got to be the best Rib Eye Steak anywhere in the UAE, My Fiance also loved every last moment of her Fillet,the accompaniments were just right not too overpowering as is often the case in some restaurants. The house Cheesecake is to die for, the perfect end to that perfect evening. Every time I am in Dubai the Ruth's Chris Steak House definitely gets a visit from me. The staff in the restaurant are always welcoming and friendly, from the entrance staff to the table waiters they really do make you feel relaxed and at home and they are always there to help you choose that extra special bottle of quality Red, their knowledge and friendliness is a credit to the management team at Ruth Chris. Food and wine is a special part of my day so weather it is a business lunch or a romantic evening my first choice will always be Ruth's Chris SteakHouse.

The food at Ruth's Chris steak House is always good, we have visited different places in the world as a true Steak-lover.
The restaurant had good wine card and a value-priced menu of appr. 295 dirhams with 3 course.
Service was fantastic
Decor was amazine. White leather chairs that was like huge arm chairs. Just wonderful!

If you like steaks, dont miss this!

We visited this restaurant with some colleagues and had the 99 Dhs business lunch.
Service was friendly but very unprofessional and the 3 course express lunch was the worst business lunch we have ever had in our live.
Going into a steak restaurant we expected actually at least one beef component in the menu (aside of carpaccio as a main course ??).
Starter (Ceasar Salat and Onion Soup) was not good in taste however, the salad had just too much cheese.
Another colleague had a warm dish as a starter and we could not figure out what the dish was all about. Clearly not what was communicated in the menu.
Absolutely not acceptable was the main course. Grilled chicken sandwich served with deep fried chicken schnitzel.
Salmon - 100 gr. topped with avocado dip and another dish was Jumbo Shrimp with potato and what was served with mini crevettes (frozen) with mashed potato all mixed up and looking like a shrimp stew.
Dessert: Chocolate cake was pre-plated and based on the smell and taste definitely on the day before. The cake was basically just chocolate granache on a very thin biscuit and it was not possible to eat. Especially not with the fridge/chiller taste.
Ambience: Light too dark, especially for lunch und (dinner) music with everything between the 70 - 90s. Sense of well being was not existing.
Service: Full plates were cleared a couple of times without any comment. Overall the service was not talkative at all. Even the supervisor came around to our table and left without saying one word.
A pitty for the team that nobody realized that we had a very bad lunch.
Overall we had a very bad lunch experience and value for money was not given at all.

dull atmosphere, poor service, being a franchise should't be an excuse! Ordering a glass of wine (at 60dhs a pop!) meant 1/3 of a normal red wine glass being filled, a ridiculous quantity, like they leaked the last drops of the bottle in the glass. Shameful.
The crab cakes were disgusting, being a steakhouse staple they should be a nicely executed dish, not a boiled crab meatball drowned in butter.
The meat came with no sauce options, just pay-for add-ons. Average at its best.
Meat&co we're coming back, this Ruth is one to forget. FAIL.

The lights were too bright for a fine dining restaurant. The decor was gaudy and the people at the next table were practically rubbing shoulders with us and we could hear their conversation as they could ours.

The service was rather sloppy with the waiter throwing a fork across the table to the other side. Huh?

Having said this, the steaks were some of the finest I have had so far in Dubai. We fed ourselves on the starters - scallops, stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and a few others and then just managed to peck at the main. The sides are ordered separately and come in large portions enough to be shared.

All in all a good experience with the food, but the service could be tweaked a bit.

A bit pricey so would go back only for special occassions.

Dined here on 16th August 2010. Feeling of exclusivity here. Seating and surroundings give you a sense of privacy with it's cabin like space. There is a good wine list, though I opted for the beer.

On to the food. Different rolls of bread were served with butter. I ordered the crab stuffed mushroom as a starter and for the mains I ordered a 16oz. New York strip. Both dishes are served piping hot. I did burn my tongue on the mushroom. The steak comes on a 500F heated plate. The stuffed mushroom was excellent and filling. I was beginning to regret ordering a 16oz. steak rather than the standard 12oz. one. The steaks at Ruth's Chris are served without any accompanying side dishes, they need to be separately ordered. The steak was as ordered, medium well done and came sizzling in butter. You could actually see the taste - a lake of soya sauce on top of the steak. Even the Dijon mustard flavour was somewhat lost in the overall strong taste of the steak. The were lots of fat blobs on the steak and add to that the melted butter it was lying on and it was enough to tell me that this was way over the top. My advice to the readers would be to do away with the butter for steaks.

Service was satisfying. Total bill for last night's dinner was around Dhs.330.

We dined here just before Christmas 2010. My husband opted for turkey, thinking logically it would be a couple of prime cuts with good fresh cranberry sauce on the side. He was served sliced pieces in various thickness - a lot of them to the point of disintegration, and they were swimming in what looked like the water and salt they were BOILED in. The cranberry gel looked and tasted like jelly from a jar. The steaks that I and our friend ordered were coated with burnt butter all around. A total disappointment!

Had heard only good things about this restaurant, and the food mostly lived up to it. However, my Sizzling Jumbo Scallops were on a small plate, which was laid on a plate of salt( to stop it moving). However, in the dim light, I couldn't see the salt at first, so dragged the scallops onto the larger plate to cut them into bite size portions, covering them in salt, ruined!!
The steaks that we all had, were fantastic, although they were served on bizarre small plates, and smothered in butter!
The wine list was a disappointment, ludicrously pricey for very average new world wines. The selection of fine French reds was small, and over priced. Please try harder on the wine list please, and get real with the prices.
Good service by the staff, was certainly a highlight.

Unfortunately our meal was spoilt at the end of the evening. Excellent food and friendly service, however refusal to accept more than 1 entertainer voucher resulted in our table of 6 forking out best part of 1000Dhs extra for our meal. As weekly diners using entertainer vouchers at some of the best restaurants in Dubai this was a new encounter for us, and certainly put a downer on the evening. Restaurant owners - if you cannot honour your comitment to the entertainer promotion, do not participate.
Service was also very slow - some drinks never arived and we spent over 1 hour sorting the bill with them at the end.

i have three times to this restaurant and i must admit. the experience in this restaurant has never failed to keep me coming for More again and it always manages to make leave with satisfaction for my money that i have spent. all i can say is its one of those restaurant that deserves to graded at a higher level.

this restaurant was a awful from start to begining: after calling the hotel we were told we couldnt make a reservation untill 7pm when the restaurant opened even thoug we wanted a table at 7pm. the food was swimming in butter and very greasy because of this. the plate it was served on could only be described as a side bread and butter plate due to its size. no side included so when my mains came out it was a piece of meat on side plate swiming in butter. the staff are very inattentive and we waited 15mins to recieve a menu and had to ask for a desert menu afte waiting 25mins. not great when there was only another 4 tables seated. the table lay out is very bad and unintimate there is about 30cm between each table its like your sitting on the same table as the peiople next you. not impressive at all!!!! i would reccommend MJ's Steakhouse at Al Qsar - they know good food and service everytime without fail!!!

BESTEST STEAKS EVER!!!
Cooked to absolute perfection, and with a touch of melted butter on top really tickles ones taste buds! Superb!
Soft lighting and modern pretty decor makes a nice place to go for a romantic meal!
Service was good, only negative is the price could be a little cheaper, but still good enough to splash out on every now and then!
You won't regret it!

Being the event chosen to celebrate our wedding anniversary we wanted something special and walking into the Hotel the surroundings promised not to dissapoint us. The Restaurant itself is beautifully laid out but as we were escorted to our booth when a baby started to cry we should have known better. The menu is very limited but it is still a struggle to read as the lighting is awful , the attentive waitress did offer us a torch however ! The drinks menu offered lots but stocked little so we were offered a discount to buy a more expensive one. Finally when the food came everything was literally swimming in butter to the extent that by the end of the main couse we were heaving at the smell of other cholesterol filled plates passing us by.
With the job done the staff did not bother to bring the bill, we had to fing them and all for AED 1975 what a treat !

The chef is amazing.
We had different starters on a plate and they were delicious. The wine with the starter was very good.
We had al different steaks and they were amazing. One of us had the turkey and even after a very big steak i loved the turkey.
Cheescake is a must!
all and all by far the best i had in Dubai

What a place to place to have dinner. From the moment we walked in everyone made us feel so special. It really seemed every worker genuilely cared about us and the details were fantastic. Our food was fantastic. We could hear and smell our food being coming to the table. The steaks were so tender and flavorful that it melted in your mouthand left me wanting more. We had to finish the dinner off with the cheesecake which is so tasty. Our entire experience was first class and I cant wait to go back. It was a true pleasure!

One of the best meals i have had in recent times. Not cheap, 1,200 Dhs for 2 with 3 courses each.....including a bottle of wine each. Had the "petit fillet" with Lobster tail, the "petit fillet" was easily bigger that almost all fillet steaks i have had. The side dishes are big enough for 2 (they advise you of this when you order which i thought was excellent). the cheesecake was huge but tasted incredible.

Hi there,I have tried many steak houses around dubai and since my partner is American I tend to look for the bestest of all. Its been a while since the last time I had such a pleasant experience.
I have been to butcher shop, st maxim’s grill, Manhattan grill, Ponderosa, Meat Company and the Rib room in emirates towers –the last one a total disappointment. I was really really really surprised about the entire butter on top of a steak and the taste. The only think I could say is that they don’t have a proper champagne they have sparkling whine, but foodwise – WOW well done !i had the scallops for a starter and the small fillet and it was superb! One recommendation, don’t go for the bread because what’s coming next is waaaay too good to miss I am definitely going there again!

I disagree with the last two comments - Ruth's is one of the best steak houses in Dubai at the moment. Ruth's steaks are always covered in butter, just like in the states but can be ordered without. Maybe you just had a one off bad experience? It can happen to the best restaurants. It happened to me in Zuma the other day and that's my favourite restaurant and i'll still go back! So, Ruth's gets my vote, every time, their cowboy ribeye is so good it should have it's own category on this website!!

I've had better steak at a Little Chef. Ruths are incapable of cooking a simple steak. For good steaks there are many other places in Dubai (Meat Company, Asados, Rare, Parillas) do not waste your money here our bill was over 5000+ Dhs for 6 people.

I was totally disappointed with the food i'm afraid. The steak was presented to me swimming in burnt butter, the "chargable" extra's arrived to the table approx 5 minutes later. Chunky chips were cold, the black pepper sauce didn't leave the kitchen until half way through our meal & when it did, it was also cold & not one bit peppery. Bravo on the spinach though, that was lovely, but let's face it, i wasn't there for the spinach. I'm afraid i will never return to this establishment as when i did write to the restaurant customer services dept to stress my opinion, my thoughts as a customer were obviously totally ignored as i am still waiting for a call back.
We dined on the 27th March!! Just a real shame.

Best Steak in Dubai - no question. I have tried them all and I also have been to some of the best steak restos in the US - this is definitely up there. Prime-cut, perfectly aged US beef - just perfect (and always better than South African, Australian or Argentinian beef). Complemented by great service and intimate surroundings (due to the high chairs). If you are a real appreciator of steaks, then you don't mind the price at all.

There is big selection and the personnel are really helpful in making the best choice.

Finally a proper Steakhouse. This place has American Meat and boy is it good. My husband and I ate there and portions and flavor do not get any better. The service was also wonderful.

THERE'S a secret to the surprising mellowness of the "legendary mutton chop" at this Steakhouse, a restaurant long synonymous with that gargantuan slab of meat. (The menu announces it with a verbal trumpet blast.).Perfect palce to be with your lover,.,I have fallen for the taste of the food.Would also like to have business lunch and dinner here.

If you love a good steak then here you are at THE RIGHT place. The food is awesome, the steaks are tender juicy and cooked to perfection and the wine list is well suited to accompany any delicacy you might set your sights on. The service is good and the ambience is unbeatable

Its a great place to impress a date or celebrate a special occasion.

This Steakhouse specializes in steaks but also offers a variety of fish and seafood on its menus. At lunchtime, you are given a menu to read. At dinner, the waiter explains the different cuts of meat and the various dishes. Its a marvellous place to go with a friendly warm welcome by staff.Lovely place to be with family and friends and also very romantic atmosphere if you are with your partner in the nights for dinner.

Very little atmosphere on the night we went only a few other tables occupied.
The steaks were nicely cooked but definately overpriced and certainly not the best we have had in Dubai. We had two fillet steaks {one of which was petite} plus a side order each as the steak comes alone and a bottle of wine and the total bill was nearly 800 Dirhams.Had alot better, more reasonably priced at the Meat Co. with great atmosphere.
Service was very good but would not revisit..
