Mall restaurants are usually too bright, have a cafeteria-feel about them and serve express food. Yet PF Chang’s is different: dimly lit, decorated with regal Chinese reds and offering a thorough dining experience. The menu also features fusion food such as European-style crab wontons, but you should come here for the mainland Chinese dishes such as Sichuan and Hunan fish. As far as Chinese restaurants go, PF Chang’s will confuse those who have only ever eaten mainstream Cantonese dishes (the likes of kung pao chicken or sweet and sour prawns) since it offers a more authentic approach to Chinese cuisine. Service is spot on here and the portions large. Bring a crowd, as it’s great value for money.
