Afghan Khorasan Kabab House
Cheap, filling fare at this hidden-away Deira eatery 2 Reviews
Illuminated by the flashing glare of the red and green neon sign of the nearby supermarket, sandwiched between fabric stores and the back wall of the mosque, lies Afghan Khorasan: your best bet for a cheap (and unique) food fix in the area. Guests can sit down with the locals and order the mutton kadai and some chicken tikka kebabs. Lukewarm soup and dense flatbread will be slapped on the table, and faster than you can say ‘Check out the kitsch decor’, a steaming copper bowl filled with gelatinous, melt-in-the-mouth mutton stew will present itself. It's clean and simple, but by no means spectacular, just great value. Diners will walk out fed and watered very nicely for Dhs25 per head.
