The UK celeb chef’s first Dubai endeavour proves as friendly and respectful of produce as the man himself 37 Reviews

Despite the long struggle with getting a license, this loft-space-style venue has atmosphere thanks to a nice blend of woods and industrial elements, as well as interesting avant-garde plastic chandeliers. Service is swift and as smiley as the big guy himself, and the food is exemplary in terms of in-mall Italian. A respectful use of ingredients transports dishes like Caesar salad and grilled salmon from the mundane to marvellous. Other highlights are the arancini risotto balls and any pasta-based dish – the fresh noodles are some of the best we’ve had in the city. If you’re after a meal as lovely-jubbly as the man himself, Jamie’s Italian is a pukka option.
